Two SCARBOn Datasets are Now Available

SCARBOn has released two new datasets supporting the analysis and validation activities carried out during the project’s airborne campaign. Both datasets were prepared and published by BIRA‑IASB and are now openly accessible through their respective repositories.

Ground‑based FTIR Spectrometer Data

The first dataset provides ground‑based observations of CO₂, CH₄, CO and H₂O collected with a COCCON EM27/SUN spectrometer during the SCARBOn airborne campaign. These measurements offer valuable reference data for validating NanoCarb performance and for supporting the interpretation of airborne and satellite‑based retrievals.

The dataset is accessable via the ESA EO Validation Center (EVDC) repository: https://doi.org/10.48477/COCCON.PF241.BEDBURG.SN113.R01

Supporting Data for the FTIR Measurements

The second dataset includes meteorological and position data collected during the SCARBOn NanoCarb prototype flight campaign. These supporting measurements complement the FTIR observations and help build a more complete picture of the atmospheric conditions encountered during the flights.

The dataset is accessable via BIRA‑IASB repository: https://doi.org/10.18758/kprvo4ef

Both datasets are also listed on the SCARBOn website in the Datasets section: https://www.scarbon-project.eu/results/datasets
