SCARBOn Is Heading to Grasse for the 10th Scientific Conference of the SFPT-GH Hyperspectral Group
Published: May 5 / 2025
The 10th Scientific Conference of the SFPT-GH Hyperspectral Group will take place in Grasse, France, from May 5 to May 7, 2025 — and SCARBOn will be proudly represented!
The event gathers french-speaking international experts to share and discuss breakthroughs in hyperspectral sensor technologies, advanced data processing algorithms, ongoing and upcoming space missions, and the potential applications of their results across multiple fields.
SCARBOn project is very happy to announce that Eric Tatulli from Université Grenoble Alpes (UGA) will participate at the event. As a key SCARBOn partner, UGA leads the design, development, and optimization of the NanoCarb prototype — a compact imaging spectrometer for accurate greenhouse gas monitoring from space.
At the conference, Eric Tatulli will deliver a presentation called Fast inversion of hyperspectral observations using Gaussian Locally Linear Mapping, presenting UGA's progress in implementing model training method called Bayesian Gaussian Locally Linear Mapping (GLiMM) for the exploitation of NanoCarb data. This kind of method becomes essential when dealing with a huge amount of generated spatio-temporal data within the new generation of hyper-spectral space sensors as NanoCarb.
